BJP all-India president JP Nadda is coming to West Bengal today (January 9). Last time, he visited Diamond Harbour but this time he will visit Burdwan.
JP Nadda is scheduled to do a road show in Burdwan. But the police did not allow the roadshow at the BJP's preferred place as the area was very crowded. Instead, there has been discussion of a procession on another route.
The BJP decided to hold the roadshow in another route because police did not give them permission. It may be mentioned that during Nadda’s visit, he will have lunch with a farmer’s family.
Before the meeting, JP Nadda will offer his prayers at Gouranga Bari in Katwa. 15,000 roses and two and a half tons of Genda flower have been piled up for Nadda’s tour.
Meanwhile, BJP all-India president JP Naddar has changed the route of the road show in Burdwan city due to security reasons. The state BJP is making final preparations to make the road show success on the new route. The central leadership is present in East Burdwan to make the visit of the party's all-India president a grand success.
JP Nadda will hold a roadshow in Burdwan city after the meeting in Katwa. Instead of the previous plan, this time it will be a roadshow from Birhata on GT Road to Curzon Gate. The distance between the two spots is less than one kilometer.
MP Sukanta Majumder expressed anger against the police. He said, 'Police and administration are listening to Mamata Banerjee’s words everywhere. SPs are not SPs, they are Trinamool district presidents. If the police can't provide security to JP Nadda, then that is their futility.”
In Burdwan, JP Nadda's preparatory meeting was scrutinized by BJP central leader and state observer Arvind Menon. Some Trinamool leaders are likely to join the BJP today in presence of JP Nadda.
