COVID-19: Rules to remember before boarding flight to Maharashtra

India has recorded 47,54,356 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 78,586 deaths. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have reported the highest number of cases.
 

Here are all the quarantine details applicable in Maharashtra that you need to know without a doubt

Thermal screening shall be done for all the domestic passengers (Aurangabad, Pune Jalgaon, Nagpur). 14 days of home quarantine is also required for all domestic passengers.
 

No quarantine: Domestic passengers who are leaving the state within 7 days of arrival shall be exempted from quarantine, provided they are able to produce confirmed tickets for onward or return journey.

Domestic passengers who are arriving at Kolhapur will also not have quarantine. Exemption for home quarantine for domestic passengers arriving at Mumbai Airport.

Short visit: No quarantine for passengers arriving in Mumbai for short visit which is less than seven days on production of return flight tickets and address proof

Others: No quarantine for doctors, other health care professionals, advocates, consultants engineers, technicians arriving in Mumbai for government related assignments only on production of ID and permission letter, travel dates and purpose of travel from relevant competent authorities based out of Mumbai.

International Passengers (Pune, Nagpur & Mumbai)

All International passengers landing at the airport have to undergo 7 days institutional quarantine and after that a 7 days home quarantine, total 14 days of mandatory quarantine. In case the passenger requests for exemption for quarantine from the Air Suvidha website, he will be allowed to undergo home quarantine for 14 days, provided he shows an approval of exemption sought.
 

In case the passenger has not requested for online exemption, then the airlines will assist the passenger to fill up the exemption form. Pending approval to the exemption request, the passenger may be asked to undergo a temporary institutional quarantine until the exemption request is approved. Once exemption is received, he will be allowed to go for home quarantine for the remaining period of the mandatory 14 days.
