Saugata Roy, Kunal Ghosh slams Rajib Banerjee after he resigns from Mamata Banerjee cabinet
The TMC suffered another major blow on Friday (January 22) after forest minister Rajib Banerjee resigned from the post of Cabinet minister. Meanwhile, the TMC leaders have slammed Rajib Banerjee after he left the party.
Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy said, “It’s good that Rajib Banerjee has resigned from the party otherwise the party would have taken strict action against him.”
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh claimed that the Trinamool Congress would win at least 10,000 votes in Domjur in the upcoming assembly polls.
Banerjee, the legislator from Domjur, is the second minister from Howrah district and the third minister in the state to resign on the eve of the crucial state polls.
Rajib Banerjee’s resignation comes days after he alleged that people in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) were not letting him 'work for the people’.
Saugata Roy said, “Being a member of the cabinet, Rajib Banerjee has not attended many meetings. TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee has talked with him twice and wanted to all the problems that he had with the party but he never made it clear with what he was facing difficulty to work.”
Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh has also opened his mouth against Rajib Banerjee. Kunal said that he had gone to jail for a conspiracy by a section of the party. Even then he is with Mamata Banerjee.
Kunal Ghosh said, “While I was in Jail, Rajib Banerjee came to meet me. I am not understanding where his anger is coming from even after getting the ministry and power. People will not believe to all the lame excuses he has given after resigning from the party”
