Indian Navy gets possession of third Scorpene submarine

<p>Moving a step further in reinforcing the government's 'Make in India' commitment, State owned warship maker Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on Monday delivered the third scorpene submarine of project P 75 to the Indian Navy.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The submarine will be commissioned into Indian Navy as INS Karanj.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moving a step further in reinforcing the government's 'Make-in-India' commitment, State-owned warship maker Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited on Monday delivered the third scorpene submarine of project P-75 to the Indian Navy.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The submarine will be commissioned into Indian Navy as INS Karanj.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With the delivery of Karanj, 'India further cements its position as a submarine building nation and MDL has lived up to its reputation as one of India's leading shipyards with capacity and capability to meet requirements and aspirations of the Indian Navy in all dimensions', the warship maker said.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The delivery of three submarines INS Khanderi, INS Kalvari and INS Karanj reaffirms India's membership in the exclusive group of submarine-building nations, it added.</p>
