Mistakes you’re making when you are trying to lose weight
Are you aware of these mistakes you're making on your weight-loss journey? Here are 5 common mistakes you’re making that you may not be aware of, and this is what is hindering your progress.
Salad dressings: So, you think that eating salads is you healthy? Think again. The dressings that go with your salad are chockfull of calories.
Stress: If you’re looking at losing weight overnight, and the moment you hit a plateau, it’s easy to get depressed. Study shows that there is a direct link between obesity and stress. This leads to a slower metabolism which is detrimental to weight loss.
Same exercise routine: Do you follow the same sets and reps when you exercise day in and day out? That’s the culprit right there. That’s why you need to switch up your exercise routine and go in for body-resistance exercises that use your body to burn fat. So, don’t be overly dependent on cardio. Use weights and see the difference.
Inadequate sleep: Get to sleep! By that we mean get the pre-requisite number of hours to sleep (7-9 hours). It’s important not to skimp on sleep. Switch off all gadgets preferably 30 minutes before you hit the sack, not just before you go to bed.
Cashless transaction: Buy groceries in cash! You will be more conscious about what you buy at the supermarket when you pay by cash than a credit or debit card. This is because you will be more mindful of what you spend as you feel the effects of it immediately.
