Start your day with warm water: There’s nothing better than a glass of lukewarm water. Almost 75 percent of our body is made of water and electrolytes. In fact, the best way to begin your day is with a glass of water. It helps in flushing out toxins and improves digestion.
Lemon water: After half an hour of drinking warm water, drink a glass of lemon water, this will help in burning fats and removing toxins from the system. Just squeeze half a lemon in some warm water, this will also help in burning the fat deposition in the body. If you don’t like the taste and feel nauseated, you can add a teaspoon of honey as per your taste preference.
Homemade weight loss tea: Why buy a weight loss herbal tea, when you can make one at home. Take one litre water and add 1 teaspoon of each: cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and coriander seeds. Once the blend is boiled properly, cool it down to room temperature and drink it through the day to lose weight effectively.
Nutrient rich breakfast: As they say breakfast like a king and dinner like a pauper, make sure you breakfast makes for most of your nutrient needs of the day. Go for healthy foods like eggs, fruits, freshly made vegetable juices, oat meals, paneer sandwich, healthy fruit bowls with quinoa or soaked oats etc. In fact, if you're fond of Indian breakfast than idli, neer dosa, appam can make for a healthy breakfast when served with chutney or sambar. Eating healthy and eating in moderation is the key to good health.
Fresh produce for lunch: Balanced diet is the key to good health, you can go for a healthy home cooked meal with a portion of salad, brown rice, dal and sabzi. If you don’t want to cook an elaborate meal or if you are running out of time, you can also go for Moong dal cheela, oats cheela, paneer rice or paneer roll. You can also make one bowl meals with boiled chickpeas and rice to which chopped veggies can be added. Make sure you add a healthy portion of veggies to add more fiber to your meals.
Evening munchies: A good tea can fix everything so make sure you replace your sugar and add jaggery to make it really good. You can pair your tea with a simple toast or fried rice puffs, roasted channa or a simple jhal muri with veggies and spices.
Early dinner: Eat early dinner this will help in better digestion and absorption of nutrients that you eat. You can prepare a light meal with two rotis and a healthy portion of sabzi and dal. You can add your own twist of taste to your meals and eat on time and stay healthy.
