When Rekha said she didn't like any of her films till 6-7 years

Rekha is and will always be one of the greatest and talented celebrities in the Hindi film industry. She has wowed the audience with her exceptional craft and gave numerous hit films. Once in an interview with BBC in 1986, Rekha was asked which is her favourite film of hers.

Rekha had worked in over 400 films till that time. When asked about her favourite one, the actress said, "I did not like any of my films till 6-7 years. But in1975 I liked Ghar."

Rekha further revealed that Ghar made her realise that she should take an interest in acting. Although she has never liked any of her films, she could not help but appreciate her acting in the rape scene.

She found the rape scene very realistic. Rekha's role in Umrao Jaan was also appreciated. However, you will be surprised to know that Rekha never took any training for her role.

Rekha had even stated in the same interview that she did not deserve a National Award for Umrao Jaan. She believes that she was going through a rough phase in her life that eventually showed on her face and that's how she nailed the character.
