Karan made his acting debut in 2008 with Kitani Mohabbat Hai. His daily operas include Aahat, Kitani Mohabbat Hai Season 2, Teri Meri Love Stories, Gumrah – End Of Innocence (host), Gumrah – End Of Innocence season 2 (host), V The Serial, Gumrah (host), and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. During the Roadies 2017 auditions, Karan smacked a competitor. The competitor expressed his embarrassment at seeing his sister marry his friend against his choice. Karan was so enraged by this that he smacked the competitor across the face. When Raj Kundra was arrested in connection with the pornographic film case, Karan became the victim of mistaken identification. People began tagging him and sending abusive remarks on social media because of his surname, Kundra.

When Karan and Kritika Kamra met during their programme Kitni Mohabbat Hai, they struck love attraction. Their romance, however, was short-lived, and they parted ways.
