Mumbai Crime Branch CIU will soon call Hrithik Roshan to record his statement in the 2016 Hrithik vs Kangana email case, read details
The Mumbai Crime branch's Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), which investigates the complaint registered by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan in the Hrithik vs Kangana Ranaut email case, will be issuing summons to the Dhoom actor soon.
According to reports, the officer said Hrithik submitted his mobile phone and laptop, but nothing was found on the devices. The emails were allegedly sent in 2013 and 2014. In 2016, Roshan sent a legal notice to Ranaut, the officer said. Hrithik complained against an imposter who allegedly emailed actress Kangana over 950 times through an email ID similar to his.
Hrithik had filed the case against an unknown imposter under the IPC section of 419 (cheating by personation), along with section 66C (identity theft) and 66D (cheating by personation using computer resources) of the Information Technology Act.
According to police, Kangana could also be called again to record her statement during the CIU investigation.
According to a Free Press Journal report, Hrithik had first sent a legal notice and demanded an apology from the queen actress and to clear the air about their alleged affair that he refuted firmly.
Declining to apologise, Kangana had then sent a counter-notice, warning Hrithik to take back his notice or face a criminal case.
