The actress, in an interview, had revealed that she never allows her friends or boyfriend to buy her diamonds and because she likes to buy her own jewellery and not receive it as gifts.
Talking about the first diamond she had bought, Sushmita and said that it was a ten-cent diamond with a pure gold band that had an open-ended thing that could be adjusted according to the size. After that, she graduated slowly to 22 carats.
