Did you know Sai Pallavi was trained under an ex-Naxal leader?
Sai Pallavi once took up serious training for her naxal drama Virata Parvam 1992
Sai Pallavi, who is often seen playing the girl next door and college sweetheart, will now portray the character of a poor girl, who gets depressed due to love failure and becomes a Naxalite.
She will be seen doing some action stunts and her trainer is none other than an ex-Naxalite leader. From firing guns to throwing bombs, Sai got trained in combat skills to play a Naxalite.
"The filmmakers want to ensure that she gets the body language right, especially in fight scenes that show combing operations. That’s why an ex-Naxal leader was the perfect choice to train her," said a source from the crew.
Virata Parvam 1992 is a period political love story set in the backdrop of Telangana in the 1990s. The film shows Sai Pallavi in a no-makeup look.
Rana Daggubati plays a political leader in their village. The story is layered with socio-political explanation and the narrative is full of heart-wrenching scenes, say makers.
The movie also plays out in the backdrop of pressing political issues of the 90s, including the Babri Masjid controversy and Ekta Yatra protest.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Suresh Babu, Virata Parvam 1992 also features Tabu, Priyamani, Zareena Wahab and Eeshwari Rao in pivotal roles.
