The tale is about Bollywood actress Parveen Babi, who was called the sex siren in the late 70s and 80s. According to reports, she allegedly dragged Amitabh Bachchan to court, accusing him of trying to kill her. According to DNA's report, Parveen Babi had alleged that Big B wanted to kill her and tried to do so. The actress had reportedly even filed a police case against Amitabh, followed by a court proceeding.
However, Amitabh was found innocent and got a clean chit as it was later discovered that Parveen was a Schizophrenia patient. The report quoted Amitabh saying, "The nature of her illness was such that she was terrified of people and was prone to all sorts of excessive delusions and hallucinations." Amitabh and Parveen were one of the on-screen hit couple and did many superhit films like Shaan, Namak Halal, Kaalia, Deewar and Amar Akbar Anthony. Back in the 80s, Parveen was one of the boldest actresses in Bollywood, and her films would always have some raunchy steamy scenes.
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt made two films on Parveen's life Arth and Woh Lamhe, to express his gratitude towards the actress.
