Talking about Akshay, his name was reportedly linked with his co-star like Rekha, Ayesha Jhulka, Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty. It is said that Akshay has allegedly dated all of the above until he finally got married to his International Khiladi co-star Twinkle Khanna.
In 2003 film Andaaz was released starred Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, and Priyanka Chopra. The film was Priyanka and Lara's Bollywood debut. PC and AK made an amazing pair and was loved by their fans.
Many filmmakers began approaching Priyanka and Akshay to cast them in their films. Akshay and Priyanka gave many hits in the years to come with Aitraaz, Mujse Shaadi Karoge and Waqt: The Race Against Time.
At the time, Akshay was already a married man with kids, and his closeness with Priyanka had grabbed headlines. According to reports, Twinkle Khanna criticised him for this alleged affair and made him swear never to work with Priyanka again.
Initially, these rumours didn't bother Twinkle, but things went out of control when stories of Akshay's closeness to Priyanka crossed all the limits.
According to sources, it is allegedly said that Twinkle and Priyanka had a big fight over the phone which Twinkle couldn't take. She instantly reached the set of the film Waqt: The Race Against Time where Priyanka and Akshay were shooting.
Twinkle was so angry that she would have slapped Priyanka, but fortunately, Priyanka wasn't present on the set, and Akshay had to face her anger. Akshay and Twinkle had a massive fight on the film set in front of the whole crew.
According to eyewitnesses, Akshay somehow convinced wife Twinkle and took her home from the sets. And the next day, Akshay released a media statement stating that he would never work with Priyanka.
During an Aap Ki Adalat session with Rajat Sharma, he was asked about his alleged extramarital affair with Priyanka. He said, "There is nothing like that. I have worked on five films with Priyanka. It's not like I don't want to work with her. Except for Rani Mukerji, I have worked with every heroine. If there is an opportunity, I will surely work with Priyanka Chopra."
