The number of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai is increasing rapidly, and because of continuous shoots and public events, many Bollywood actors have been tested positive lately.
After Kartik Aryan, Paresh Rawal and R Madhavan, veteran singer Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for the virus.
The Jimmy hit maker's spokesperson confirmed the news that Bappi is being tested positive for the virus and has been hospitalised.
As per reports, the singer is hospitalised at Breach Candy hospital and is currently under observation.
As per the reports, the spokesperson said, "Despite taking the precautions, unfortunately, Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for Covid-19. He is under good expert care at Breach Candy hospital. His family requests the persons who came in contact with him to get themselves tested."
The singer has asked the fans to pray for him. A few days back, Lahiri had urged his fans to get themselves registered for vaccination. However, it is unclear whether he has taken the jab or not. He wrote, "I've just pre-registered for my #COVID19Vaccine – what are you waiting for! As soon as I found out that us over 60's and those aged between 45-59 with a specified co-morbidity are now able to get our jab booked in, I felt a sense of relief that the end to this pandemic is in sight. It was quick & simple to register at Cowin.gov.in (link in bio) and I urge all of my friends in this age bracket to do the same"
