The first award ceremony of this year was done and dusted on Saturday with the honourable Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival awards.
Dadasaheb Phalke Awards is one of the most prestigious ceremonies in Bollywood. This year the categories were lined up from movies, television, music, including OTT platforms.
Deepika Padukone won the Best (Female) Actor for Meghna Gulzar's directorial Chhapak, and Vikrant Massey was felicitated with the Supporting Actor's award.
Akshay Kumar won for Best Actor (Male) in the horror-comedy film Laxmii, a Tamil movie remake.
Kiara Advani won an award for her power-packed performance in Netflix original movie, Guilty, as Critics Choice Best Actor (female).
The Best Film Award was bagged by the film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn and Kajol.
Best web-series went to Hansal Mehta's Scam1992. Sushmita Sen bagged Best Actor (Female) for web series Arya.
Bobby Deol was honoured with the award for Best web series Actor (Male) in Ashram.
Kunal Khemu won an award for Best Actor in a comic role for Lootcase. He looked dapper in a white ensemble which he paired with a red waist coat.
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was honoured posthumously with the Critics Best Actor Award.
Nora Fatehi won her first Dadasaheb Phalke award as Best Performer of the Year.
Anurag Basu bagged Dadasaheb Phalke for Best Director of dark comedy, 'Ludo'. The film featured Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan, Rohit Saraf, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathy, Fatima Sana Sheikh and many more.
