Ravi Shastri gets vaccinated for COVID-19 in Ahmedabad

Ravi Shastri is the reigning head coach of Team India. He has been associated with Team India since 2017 and is scheduled to stay associated with it until the 2021 ICC World T20. He has become one of the first Indian cricketers to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

<p>Shastri, aged 58, received the same at the Apollo Hospital, while he thanked the hospital management for their support and co-operation. "Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the amazing medical professionals &amp; scientists for empowering India Flag of India against the pandemic. Extremely impressed with the professionalism shown by Kantaben &amp; her team at Apollo, Ahmedabad in dealing with COVID-19 vaccination," he wrote on <em>Twitter</em>.</p>

<p>Earlier, BCCI had stated that it would make it a priority for the Indian cricketers to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
