Padikkal-Kohli's middle-over stand
Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli made a 57-run stand between them. The partnership came well just when it was needed the most. After their stand, AB de Villiers did put up a decent show with the bat.
Powerful Paddikal
The young gun of RCB, who has been the leading run-scorer for the team put up a good show with the bat. He alone smashed 50 runs off just 41 balls, setting the stage for a par total.
DC bowlers
DC bowlers made the full use of the slow pitch in Abu Dhabi. The senior bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin maintained an economy of 4.5 in his bowling spell. Besides, Anrich Nortje had a will with the ball, as he claimed three wickets in his spell, while he conceded 33 runs.
Rahane-Dhawan stand
It seemed that Ajnikya Rahane had reserved all his energy for this special match, as he hit 60 runs in just 46 balls. Together, with Shikhar Dhawan, who also completed his half-century, they both made an 88-run stand, that gave DC the thrust they needed in the match.
RCB bowlers
Shahbaz Ahmed bowled quite well and took a couple of wickets, besides maintaining an economy of 6.5. Furthermore, Washington Sundar was quite economical as well, who maintained an economy of six and scalped a wicket too.
