Virat Kohli is currently in Australia, where he would be leading India in the upcoming ODI and T20I series. He would be back in India after playing a Test, as his wife Anushka Sharma is due to give birth to their first child in January. The couple got married in 2017.
The Indian players are off to Australia after two months of gruelling action in the Indian Premier League (IPL), held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Virat Kohli and his boys have begun training in Sydney, while the skipper's Bollywood wife, Anushka Sharma, is in India.
The reason why Anushka did not travel with Kohli Down Under is that she is pregnant and is expected to give birth to their first child in January. Consequently, Kohli, too, would be flying back to India after leading his side in the three ODIs and T20Is, along with the opening Test.
While there is still some time to go for that, Anushka is back in Mumbai from UAE, where she supported Kohli and his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in the just-concluded IPL. Meanwhile, she also celebrated Diwali on Sunday all alone.
Anushka took to her Instagram handle, where she shared three pictures on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. She captioned it, "Got all dressed up to sit at home and eat . And it was great 😁. Hope you all had a beautiful Diwali ⭐💛💫".
In the pictures, she is seen wearing a white kurta and salwar, which she looks dazzling in.
She is also seen sitting and blushing in the dress, which makes her adorable to watch.
