Taapsee Pannu is all set for her next release, a sports drama Original film Rashmi Rocket. The film is based on Rashmi, an amazingly fast runner who dreams of crossing the finish line as an athlete and earning a mark for her country.

However, Rashmi soon realises that the race to the finish line has multiple obstacles. What seems like an athletic competition turns into her battle for respect, honour, and individual identity. The primary topic of the film is gender testing in sports.

While shooting for Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu met with an unfortunate injury. Talking about the same and her experience working as Rashmi, she said, “I did get injured once because I got over-enthusiastic about the whole running part in the first three days. I enjoyed it, so I didn't end up taking enough rest between two consecutive sprints and ended up injuring myself the third day."

"My muscles became too tight to even lift my leg, and it took me few weeks of therapy and different types of physio sessions and different style of training to unlearn my old technique and learn new technique to make sure that particular muscle doesn’t get overexerted. So, yes, it did take a lot of strategy to make sure I could bounce back after four weeks because we had to shoot the final races for Rashmi Rocket after four weeks," the Pink actress said.

The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, written by Aniruddha Guha, Nanda Periyasamy and Kanika Dhillon, and directed by Akarsh Khurana.

Besides Taapsee Pannu, the film Rashmi Rocket also features talented actors like Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli and Supriya Pilgaonkar. The movie is set to premiere on ZEE5 on October, 15th.
