Recently, #MomsMagicConcert featured Padma Shri Usha Uthup, who went live with her daughter Anjali Uthup Kurien. The ageless singer was at her usual best and performed in her characteristic voice with a feisty tempo, leaving the audience no choice but to groove to her rhythm. Her performance, even though on Instagram live, did remind us all about India’s original pop diva.
While #MomsMagicConcert did bring the best out of India’s original pop diva, it also brought to light a never-seen-before mother-daughter camaraderie between Usha Uthup and Anjali Uthup Kurein.
The discussion swayed from what Anjali had cooked at her home to Usha Uthup calling Anjali the most beautiful daughter in the world. In a way, the virtual concert also became a catch-up session for the duo, which was nothing less than adorable!
The hour-long musical journey with Padma Shri Usha Uthup also saw her performing ‘Corona’ versions of her hit songs like ‘Ramba Ho’ and ‘Doston Se Pyar Kiya’.
Till now, Moms Magic Concert has featured singers like Padma Shri Kavita Krishnamurthy, Harshdeep Kaur, Akriti Kakkar, Anwesha, Ankita Bhattacharya and Ankita Kundu who have been conducting virtual music concerts along with their family from their respective homes.
