Tollywood drugs case: Actress Rakul Preet Singh appears before ED; records her statement

Today Rakul Preet Singh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Hyderabad. She was being summoned as part of a money-laundering probe connected to a high-end drugs racket that was busted in the city in 2017. 

Rakul was seen donning a red check long shirt pairing with denim. And while the actress was entering the building, she was being mobbed by media. 

Tollywood filmmakers Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur were also seen outside the ED office a few days back. According to reports, they have already had their statements.

On August 25, the ED summoned the Telugu film industry celebrities like Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh, among others, in a four-year-old drug case. 

In 2017, the Special Investigation Team questioned the actors and directors related to a drug racket of supplying high-end narcotics such as LSD and MDMA, busted by the Telangana's Prohibition and Excise department.
