How the contact began

In her video, the influencer explained that she came in touch with an assistant director through her contacts. She shared her portfolio and photos, hoping to get an opportunity in the industry. She said they had a phone conversation where she clearly expressed her interest and commitment to acting.

Allegation of inappropriate request

According to her, things took a disturbing turn when the person later called her and asked her to come to a resort in India to meet a producer.

She alleged that the invitation was not professional and hinted at expectations of sexual favours. Realising this, she said she immediately blocked the person and cut all contact.

Fear among aspiring actors

The influencer said that such experiences make many talented Telugu girls afraid to enter the industry. She expressed concern about what she described as a “bad culture” that discourages newcomers.

In a follow-up comment, she said she had shared names and reported the matter to a women’s support team within the industry. However, she added that she did not have strong proof except for some text messages.

Actor Jhansi steps in

Following the viral video, popular television artist Jhansi reached out to the influencer. Jhansi, who is part of the women's support panel in the industry, advised her to file a formal complaint with the Sexual Harassment Redressal Panel for further action.

She assured that the issue would be taken seriously and looked into properly.

Mixed reactions on social media

The video has received a large number of views, comments, and shares. Many users supported the influencer and praised her for speaking up. Some people shared advice on how to stay safe during casting calls, such as verifying production houses and avoiding unknown invitations.
