This is why Ravi Teja skips his brothers funeral

Telugu star Ravi Teja's brother Bharath Raju died in car accident on June 24. The initial assessment of the freak accident suggested over-speeding as one of the primary reasons for the tragedy.

According to the latest report published in Indian Express, the police have found empty liquor bottles in the car that rear-ended a stationary truck near Kothwalguda, killing its 45-year-old occupant on the spot. The red Skoda sedan, which Bharath was driving was registered in the name of his mother Rajyalakshmi.

In spite of being in the city, Ravi and many others from the family skipped Bharat's funeral held in Jubilee Hills Mahaprasthanam, on Sunday. According to the Times of India website which states that the actor and the family were in a state of shock and therefore skipped the funeral. The reports also mentioned that the body was taken to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. However, the Bengal Tiger actor did not go to see Bharat’s body. Everything was done in haste from taking his body to the mortuary to getting an immediate cremation..

The report further states that Bharat’s body was neither taken to his own flat or Ravi Teja’s house. Except for the actor’s younger brother Raghu, none of the other members attended the funeral.

Actor Uttej, who is close to Ravi Teja, said the family was too shocked at Bharath's sudden death and were finding it difficult coming to terms with the loss and the condition in which Bharath's body was found, due to which, they avoided attending the last rites.

However, nobody from the family has made an official statement or commented on the incident; the actor received various condolences from the fraternity.

Bharath, has the history of being arrested for alleged possession of drugs. He has also acted in movies, but he was not as successful as his elder brother. While Ravi Teja is the more famous actor in South, Bharath appeared in cameo and supporting roles in films such as Aa Mugguru, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna and Jump Jilani.
