South actor Rajnikanth lately was admitted to Chennai’s Kauvery hospital because he had to undergo carotid artery revascularisation surgery. Reportedly the actor was feeling giddy but was discharged lately. As the news of his health spread, his fans all across the nation became worried. Many of his fans were seen gathering around  Madurai’s Thirupankyndram Murugan temple and were conducting a prayer for his speedy recovery.

The fans were seen breaking 108 coconuts and were also seen eating food from the floor. News agency ANI had reported that a fan had told them that as soon as they came to know that their superstar Thalaiva was admitted to the hospital for his illness so a mass prayer was conducted for his quick recovery. A few days ago, the same news agency ANI had reported that the actor was admitted after complaining of feeling giddy. The procedure for Cartoid Artery revascularisation was performed successfully. To further discuss Rajnikanth''s health the actor had been to Delhi to receive the  Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to the cinema. After that, he went to Kauvery hospital for a routine checkup, but as things had got a little worst, he was admitted. Even in December 2020, the actor was admitted to Apollo hospital, Hyderabad, as his blood pressure was fluctuating. On the work front, the actor is waiting for the release of his next movie Annaatthe. The action drama movie has been penned and directed by Siva while it has been produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. The stellar cast of the film also includes Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh and Khushbu. Post facing a lot of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie will be released on Diwali.
