The late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s one of the most critically acclaimed movies was ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Critics appreciated him for bringing to life on-screen the beloved ex-captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni without errors. Rajput stayed with the Indian wicketkeeper and observed his every move diligently to play the role in Dhoni’s biopic. SSR also spoke his heart out remembering the time he was preparing for the role.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is celebrating his 42nd birthday today, also patiently answered all of Sushant's questions and doubts. The ‘Kai Po Che!’ actor knew the Indian team captain before the film but got to observe him closely during the film’s preparations. Reportedly, while on the shoot for the film they spent the majority of their time together and had a lot of good moments. However, one particular incident happened to be memorable. In an interview, Sushant revealed this memorable moment with MS Dhoni, it was when both of them met the Tamil megastar, Rajinikanth.
In the same interview, Sushant also mentioned sharing similarities with the Indian cricketer. According to him, both believe that the past is something they should always move on from and they should focus on the present. He further shared that he loved listening and talking to Dhoni, and confessed that he learned the value of listening from him.
Sushant Singh Rajput suddenly left the entire nation in shock with the news of his suicide on June 14, 2020. The unfortunate demise of the actor is still a mystery unsolved. With his charismatic screen presence, he delivered notable performances in films like ‘Kai Po Che!’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Chhichhore’ and others, including the Indian captain’s biopic ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
