Uorfi Javed has opened up about one of the most difficult phases of her career, admitting that the past year brought a string of professional disappointments. From cancelled projects and fewer brand deals to being rejected by popular reality shows, Uorfi said she found herself dealing with one setback after another.
In a candid video shared on Instagram, the actor and internet personality spoke about the failures she experienced behind the scenes, saying that she was "really upset" for several months.
She also revealed that she had approached the makers of Bigg Boss after missing out on other reality shows, but was ultimately rejected.
Follow Kar Lo Yaar Season 2 Was Cancelled
One of Uorfi's biggest disappointments involved Follow Kar Lo Yaar, the Prime Video reality series that followed her personal and professional life.
Uorfi revealed that the second season of the show was cancelled just a month before it was scheduled to begin.

The cancellation came as another setback at a time when she was already dealing with changes in her professional plans.
She also revealed that she had been working on a Netflix project and had already shot one episode. However, according to Uorfi, the show was eventually cancelled after the episode was filmed.
These unexpected cancellations left her with fewer projects than she had anticipated.
She Missed Lock Upp After A Scheduling Clash
Uorfi also opened up about missing out on Lock Upp. She said she had received an offer to appear on the reality show and was initially interested in taking it up. However, one day of shooting clashed with another project she had already signed.
Because the other project had been committed to first, she said its team did not allow her to participate in Lock Upp.
The situation became even more frustrating when the shooting schedule of the other project was later postponed.
By then, however, Lock Upp had already begun, meaning Uorfi had lost the opportunity to be part of the show.
She described the situation as particularly frustrating because the original scheduling conflict eventually disappeared, but it was too late for her to join the reality show.
Uorfi also revealed that she was replaced on Playground this year after working as a mentor on the show the previous year.
Bigg Boss Rejected Her Too
After missing out on several opportunities, Uorfi said she decided to approach the makers of Bigg Boss.
She explained that she wanted to do a reality show and believed Bigg Boss could be the opportunity she was looking for.
According to Uorfi, she had meetings with the Bigg Boss team, but the discussions did not lead to an offer. "They just rejected me," she said while recalling the experience. The rejection became another major disappointment for Uorfi, particularly because it followed several other professional setbacks.
She summed up the experience by saying that she genuinely felt the year had been a "year of rejection" for her.
Uorfi Javed Says Brand Deals Have Also Declined
The reality show rejections and cancelled projects were not the only changes Uorfi noticed. She also spoke about a slowdown in her brand work.
According to her, she previously received several brand deals within a five- or six-month period. Now, she claims she is getting only around two deals over three to four months.
For someone whose public profile has been closely linked to social media and brand collaborations, the decline has been another noticeable professional setback.
‘I Was Really Upset For A Few Months’
Uorfi admitted that the series of disappointments affected her emotionally.
In the caption accompanying her video, she acknowledged that things had been moving slowly and said this was why she had been upset for several months. She also spoke about the pressure created by social media.
"Whenever I open Instagram, someone is buying a car or achieving something," Uorfi said, explaining how scrolling through social media can make it appear as though everyone else is constantly succeeding. By sharing her own failures, she offered a different perspective on that picture of success.
