Sandalwood actress and drug accused Ragini Dwivedi who had approached Supreme Court for bail suffered a setback as the apex court adjourned her bail to January 19.

The actress is currently under private hospital care for a stomach ailment and is being watched by police.

Ragini Dwivedi was accused of consuming and also supplying contrabands and her house at Yelahanka apartment was first raided and later was taken to CCB office on the same day on September 4.

The actress was subjected for a test and when doctors demanded her urine for a sample test to know whether there was any presence of drugs, she allegedly mixed water in her urine sample and gave it to doctors.

It was this act that proved costly for the actress and the CCB team before NDPS court has made the case watertight. Despite her efforts of seeking bail, the High Court adjourned and rejected her bail plea.  Later the actress approached the Supreme Court hoping for a breather.

The actress in December first week was hoping to walk out from jail through bail, but the apex court had adjourned the hearing to January 12 2021, but now it seems her wait to know her fate will be delayed further as the hearing on bail will come up next week.
