Going a step ahead of doing abhishekham to their favourite star, fans of superstar Ranijikanth indulged in a shameful and shocking act.

The overzealous fans cut a goat's head and smeared oozing blood from it on the first look poster of his latest film Annaathe's poster.

As soon as the shocking video went viral from Tamil Nadu on Tuesday on social media, the netizens condemned the act and also called for stringent action for animal cruelty.

Taking objection to the act, All Indian Rajinikanth Rasikan Mandram, a fan club of the star condemned the act. VM Sudhakar the administrator of the mandram termed this act as very humiliating and shameful and asked the fans to desist from such acts in the future.

Such kind acts also attract punishment under law as cases can be booked under the animal cruelty act.

Further, Rajinikanth will himself be upset with the development as he is staunch follower of Guru Raghavendra and also practices non-violence and advocates to stay away from animal cruelty.

Earlier, when Kichcha Sudeepa's Villain and the Vikrant Rona posters was released, his fans did the same thing by slaughtering a buffalo and sprinkling the blood on the poster.

The fans of film stars especially in south India usually pour milk and shower flowers on their posters and cutouts and in some cases a special puja and prayers will be held at religious places whenever a film is released or during their birthday.

During KGF star Yash’s birthday a 200-KG cake was cut by fans in Bengaluru.

With many big budget films lined up for release and their favorite stars in action, repetition of such crazy acts cannot be ruled out.

In another incident, Pawan Kalyan's fan slashed his hand and sprinkled his blood on the silver screen when his Vakeel Sab was being screened in Andhra Pradesh.
