FollowMumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch carried out an extensive 6-hour long investigation at Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra's residence in Juhu on Friday evening. The investigative team has recorded the actresses' statements regarding the pornography case.
According to a tweet published by ANI, Shetty has denied her involvement in the alleged offence of transmission of sexually explicit content. Reportedly Shilpa also claimed that the films available on Hotshots are not pornography but erotica while citing more sexual content available on other OTT platforms.
Shilpa Shetty also stated that she wasn't aware of the exact content of Hotshots. She claimed that she has nothing to do with Hotshots. She mentioned that erotica is different from porn and her husband Raj Kundra wasn't involved in producing porn content, revealed Mumbai Police sources.
The Crime Branch has also seized electronic gadgets during the house raid.
According to reports, Shilpa's bank accounts will also be checked for the same. The Crime Branch will investigate how long she served as one of the company's directors for Viaan Industries, from which she had resigned earlier. The report says that Viaan Industries allegedly handled porn production and distribution.
Kundra is reportedly denied all the allegations. The businessman has also approached High Court and his police custody has been extended till July 27.
