Murali Gopi reveals 'story' behind Mohanlal's 'Lucifer'

Ever since the surprise announcement of Mohanlal movie 'Lucifer' on Thursday, film buffs are enthusiastically searching online to gather every tidbit on the mega project to be directed by Prithviraj.
In an exclusive interview to asianetnews.tv, actor Murali Gopi, who is scripting the big-budget movie, revealed the story behind it and how it evolved over years.
“I discussed the story of Lucifer with Mohanlal in 2012. But the main concern at that time was who would direct it. Later, I shared the story with Prithviraj. He was thrilled and wanted to direct the film,” Murali Gopi said.
But the project had many hurdles ahead before it could be announced. The main problem was the availability of the busy stars. But Prithviraj was hell-bent on making a directorial debut with a Mohanlal movie. “Prithviraj was ready to postpone his films to direct a Mohanlal starrer,” Murali Gopi revealed.
Speaking to Asianet News, Prithviraj said that it was a dream come true for him. "I always kept the dream of making a directorial debut with a Mohanlal movie," he said. "I consider it a great boon that Lalettan (Mohanlal) agreed to do the film."
Meanwhile, Mohanlal also took to Facebook on Lucifer.
'Lucifer' would be a big budget project and will have a big star cast from other film industry. The movie is expected to go on floors next year.
