Pratyusha Banerjee's parents recently opened up about the financial woes that fighting the legal battles has put them in. The actress died of suicide in 2016. She was 24. Pratyusha Banerjee rose to fame with her role in the TV serial Balika Vadhu in 2010. The actress was found hanging from a fan at her residence in Goregaon, Mumbai, on April 1, 2016.

In a new interview with AajTak.in Pratyusha's father revealed that after their daughter's suicide, a terrible storm has come and taken away everything from them and that they have lost everything while fighting a second case and are forced to live in one room.

The couple also revealed that they are forced to take loans. His wife is working at a child care centre, and he writes stories. Pratyusha Banerjee's body was found hanging from the ceiling of her Bangur Nagar house in Mumbai, Kandivali area on April 1, 2016.

The actress did not leave a suicide note behind. Her parents registered an FIR alleging that Rahul Raj, who was in a live-in relationship with their daughter, had tortured and drove her to commit suicide.

Later, Rahul applied to the Dindoshi sessions court in Mumbai, requesting to be discharged from the case. He stated that the actresses' parents had taken heavy loans to her name, and she committed suicide because she was unable to pay them.
