Prabhas adopts reserve forest at Hyderabad
This Initiative taken up from Green India challenge is promoted by Honorable MP (RS) J. Santosh Kumar
FollowPrabhas has decided to take up 1650 acres of Khazipally Reserve Forest located Near Dundigal 20 kms far from Hyderabad. He handed over ₹2 Crores Rupees to forest officials for the development of this Reserve Forest. Pan-India star Prabhas along with Forest Minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar laid the foundation stone for Urban Forest Park.
They observed the reserve forest from a temporary watch tower, later planted few saplings in the reserve forest region. The Forest department is going to convert a small portion of the Forest into Urban forest park while the rest of the forest is going to be a conservation zone.Kahajipalli reserve forest is known for its medicinal plants and it's extended in three compartments.
The forest department is going to fence the entire 1650 acres and immediately start developing Eco park.Constructing park gate, see through wall, walking track, view point, Gazebo. A medicinal plant centre would be constructed in the first phase. All the steps to prevent encroachment of forest land are also being taken up by the Forest Department.
Prabhas stated that he was inspiredby his friend, Rajya Sabha MP, Honourable Joginapally Santhosh Kumar to adopt Khajipalli forest area and would donate more in instalments, depending on the progress of the work. Prabhas requested the Forest department to develop the reserve forest so that it would create an additional lung space in HMDA limits and develop a Eco park.
Film actor said that hisparticipation to help society through the "Green Challenge" and adoptingreserve forest has given him immense satisfaction .Prabhas thanked RS MP, Govt ofTelangana Forest Minister and Forest officials.  Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally SantoshKumar fulfills his promise within a year: RS MP adopted keesara Reserved Forest regionto "Gift a Smile" on the birthday of his brother, TRS WorkingPresident and State Min KTR Last year. On August 31st 2019, he laid the foundation stone for rejuvenation of reserved forest, Eco park.

At the eventorganized on that day RS MP stated that he would motivate and request hisfriends to take part in adoption of Reserved Forest regions. RS MP started the 4th round of GreenChallenge on June 11th along with Film actor Prabhas. On the aegis of Santosh, Film actorPrabhas came forward to adopt a reserve forest. Upon the consultation with ForestDept, it was decided that Prabhas would take up the responsibility of developing Khajipally Reserve Forest.
