Chennai: At an event hosted by an entertainment website dedicated to honour artists and mostly musicians, famed director Shankar expressed his shock to see a 14-year-old Lydian Nadhaswaram playing a track from Rajinikanth's movie Robot.
Lydian was invited to perform at the event organised. Lydian, a child prodigy, chose tracks from Shankar's films like Robot, Jeans, and his skills on the keyboard left the audience stunned. While Shankar was taken aback and admitted this on stage, Oscar winner A R Rahman was also present in the audience.
In fact, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal decided to rope in Lydian for his directorial debut Barroz: Guaridan of D'Gama's treasure.
Lydian Nadhaswaram is the son of music composer Varshan.
