The star cast of the movie V got candid at the pre-launch event on September 4
Mumbai: The entire star cast of the movie V shined at the pre-launch event of the film as they came together on a virtual platform to greet and interact with the press and fans. The actors shed some light about working together, preparations for their roles. V, the Telugu-language action thriller written and directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti is produced by Dil Raju.
The movie is filled with action, drama, groovy songs and breath-taking stunts and scenes which are set to take the audience’s breath away. The entire star cast of the movie is extraordinary with stars like Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nani. What makes this film even more special is this is Nani’s 25th film and is set to release on the same day as that of his debut movie.
It will be a treat for the viewers to watch Sudheer Babu in the role of an agile cop, for which he followed a disciplined routine to stay in shape. While talking about his preparation for the role he said, “It was an amazing experience to work with such a great cast of the movie. My role as a police officer was very demanding in terms of fitness and looks; hence I didn’t do anything extraordinary but followed clean eating, proper exercises, and listening to my trainer helped me a lot. The audience will surely like the character,” said Sudheer Babu.
Aditi Rao Hydari’s role has been quite a secret as the actor didn’t speak a lot about it, but now fans can rush over to the OTT platform and be treated to her character in the movie Saheba. Talking about being behind the curtains during the promotions, she said, “We as actors sometimes speak so much about our roles and characters in the movie we play, that it often loses the magic and feel of it. I stayed silent about my role in the movie, because I want the audiences to see it and take away the experience from the screen. I like the movie’s story to unfold the way it should be” she said.
Fans of Nivetha Thomas were excited to find out how she prepared for the role of Apoorva, an aspiring crime novelist, and also about her dance practice. The song Baby touch me now is trending on the internet and loved by her fans. “I didn’t really prepare anything for the character. The story was great, the character was very well-written. Me and Sudheer did dance rehearsals as I am not a professional trained dancer, to get the beat and hang of the song. I am glad that people are loving the song and the chemistry,” she said.
Nani will be seen in a negative role in the movie, which is very different from other roles he does. His fans are excited to watch him in a brand-new avatar on OTT platforms. “I am extremely overwhelmed to see the response to the teaser and songs. The numbers don’t really matter, be it 25th or any, there is much more to come. It’s indeed a special feeling to have the release of the movie on the same date as my debut movie was,” he said.
Sharing his views about the changing culture of theatre releases to OTT platforms Indraganti feels that now it’s time to entertain the audience at the comfort of their own homes. “Considering the pandemic we all are in, it’s very unfair to open the cinema halls and invite the public to watch their favourite stars on screen. We always receive so much love from the fans, now it is our duty to bring them entertainment at home”
