Bollywood actress, Koena Mitra’s filmy career came to a sudden and abrupt end when her plastic surgery went wrong.
Soon after her entry into Bollywood, Koena shimmied her way upwards. Her oomph and style established her as one of the most sought after actresses. But it did not take the stardom too long to fizzle out.
In an interview with TOI, Koena revealed that for her it was a sudden decision to get a nose job. A few days after the surgery things went fine. But soon her bones started swelling up. No medicines could stop the growth in her nose. At last even doctors gave up and asked her to just rely on prayers.
At first she decided to hide her face and sit at home. But soon she realised that she would not be able to survive this way.
It took a lot of courage to come out and start meeting friends and industry people with a disfigured face. Koena recalled that even some of her closest friends started ignoring her and avoided seen with her in public.
It took her a fortune and many corrective cosmetic surgeries to get the face she wanted. But she decided to speak out about the surgery to inspire and encourage people to come out and face it.
