Sudeep was supposed to attend a hearing on March 26, regarding a complaint filed against his production house for damaging property while shooting the serial Varasdara.
Bengaluru: An arrest warrant has been issued against Kannada star actor Kichcha Sudeep. The warrant has been issued by the Chikkamagalur judicial magistrate of first class (JMFC) court after the actor failed to attend a hearing of a pending case on March 26.
A case was booked against Kichcha Sudeep with regard to damage caused by the 'Varasdara' serial crew following a complaint by Deepak Mayur in March 2018. Deepak Kumar owned the place that was rented out for the shooting the serial. Varasdara was produced by Sudeep's production house Kichcha Creations.
The Varasdara crew had rented a place owned by Deepak Mayur for the shooting. But an alleged blast on the sets, led to damage of the farmhouse.
Deepak had filed a complaint against Sudeep accusing his crew of damaging his property and also alleged that rent amounting to Rs 1,50,000 was also due.
Deepak's farmhouse at Begur village in Chikkamagalur district was used for shooting of the serial for a duration of three months. As per the agreement, the producers had to pay Rs 6,000 per day for hiring the farmhouse.
Sudeep has not reacted on the same yet. He has completed the shooting of his multi-lingual film Pailwan and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Currently, he is busy shooting for Kotigobba -3.
