KGF set to break Baahubali 2’s box office record in Karnataka

Baahubali 2 had collected Rs 129 crore in Karnataka. But KGF has already grossed Rs 121 crore and is trailing by just Rs 8 crore, which looks easy to cross going by the popularity of the movie

Bengaluru:  Baahubali 2 holds a record that is hard to break in terms of box office collection. But the latest news is that KGF is all set to break that mark created by Baahubali in Karnataka.

In India, till date Dangal is the highest grossing movie with Rs 2,100 crore collections at the box office. Baahubali 2 is in the second place with Rs 1,810 crore.

Looking at Baahubali's collections in Karnataka, the movie that was released on April 17, 2017, had made Rs 129 crore. This is the highest-ever a movie has made in Karnataka so far.

But if the sources have to be believed, KGF is all set to create a new record. The Yash-starrer is said to have collected Rs 121 crore already and going by the popularity of the movie it will easily cross Rs 8 crore collections soon.

KGF was released in five languages – Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Reports say that KGF has grossed Rs 200 crore so far. The Hindi version of the movie has grossed Rs 42 crore and is expected to reach Rs 250 crore.

Taking into account the collections in foreign countries, it is said that KGF has made Rs 219 crore including Rs 3 crore in Pakistan
