Such has been the craze and popularity of the show that Divyenndu's fans have started addressing him by his character's name Akhil Srivastava (from the show) wherever he goes.

For those who still have not watched the show, Divyenndu portrays the role of an aspiring pulp fiction writer based in Banaras and is a huge fan of pulp fiction novels. Interestingly, in order to get into the skin of his character, the versatile actor had read the novels, written by the late popular author James Hadley Chase, known for his pulp fiction and mystery novels.

Divyenndu, who is also a huge fan of the late writer, was hugely inspired and enamoured by his writing style and believes the legend very well knew the pulse of his writers.

Divyenndu informs, "I like reading books and novels too, and I make sure to take some time out of my schedule to fulfil this hobby. Bicchoo Ka Khel allowed me to go back in time and reread those novels which I used to do as a student and I still have that collection with me. I have read a few of James Hadley Chase novels whom I admire for his amazing sense of writing thereby creating that mystery element in his narratives. I guess that also helped me considerably to portray my character of an aspiring pulp fiction writer in Bicchoo Ka Khel."

Streaming on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club, 'Bicchoo Ka Khel' is a crime thriller that revolves around the story of Akhil, a budding writer whose life is nothing less than a roller-coaster ride with twists and turns to keep you at the edge of your seat.
