FollowMalayalam actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran last week released his latest film Kuruthi on Amazon Prime Video on the occasion of Onam. The film has received good reviews from fans, media, film critics also his film industry folks.
Prithviraj has also shared a note of gratitude on his Twitter account. He said: Thank you for the amazing response for #KURUTHI Overwhelmed with the reception! 😊🙏❤️
During the press meet, Prithviraj Sukumaran thanked Amazon Prime Video to showcase the film on their platform for their Prime members in India and across 240 countries and territories. Prithviraj also said during Covid 19 situation; people should stay in the comfort of their home, eat Onam Sadhya and enjoy the film with the family.
Talking about the film, Prithviraj said, “Kuruthi is one of the most intense and fast-paced films I have been a part of. With a captivating story and nonstop thrills which will have the audience hooked, this is one film I am extremely proud of. My journey with Amazon Prime Video has been enriching, and I am pleased to launch Kuruthi for a global audience on the streaming service. On behalf of the entire cast and crew, I would like to wish our fans a Happy Onam.”
Before the film was released, Indian filmmaker Karan Johar took to his official social media handle to laud the trailer. He wrote, "What a superb trailer Prithvi…. Can’t wait to see it!!!! Congratulations!!!!👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️"
Manu Warrier directs the film, and Anish Pallyal worked on the screenplay. Besides Prithviraj, Kuruthi features Roshan Mathew, Srindaa, Murali Gopy and Mammukoya.
