Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan: Read why SRK did not greet his fans for the first time
It is a yearly ritual for Shah Rukh Khan to step out of his house and greet his fans who eagerly wait to wish him on his birthday. But, this year, the Badshah of Bollywood had to disappoint his fans by not turning up to wave his fans.
Fans of Shah Rukh Khan had started to gather outside the actor’s residence in Mannat from Monday evening itself to wish him on his 56th birthday on Tuesday i.e. November 02. The road outside Mannat was jam-packed with fans of SRK as they all waited to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor.
Every year, religiously, people gather outside his residence to wish him a very happy birthday, holding placards with special messages for him. And to oblige them, the actor also steps out of his home and waves at them, as a ‘thank you’ gesture. However, it is for the first time that Shah Rukh did not come outside to meet his fans, leaving them disappointed. If reports are to be believed, the actor is not in Mumbai on his birthday. In fact, Shah Rukh is at his Alibaug house along with his family.
Interestingly, the message of Shah Rukh’s ‘unavailability’ at Mannat on his birthday was conveyed to the fans by the Mumbai police. The police were informed through SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani that he and his family are in Alibaug for his birthday. Therefore, the same message was conveyed by the cops to his fans.
Earlier, on Monday evening, gifts have started to pour in for the actor from his friends in the industry. Several celebrities including actor Sidharth Malhotra, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and fashion designers Falguni and Shane Peacock sent in gifts and flowers for Shah Rukh.
The birthday celebrations are expected to be special to the ‘Pathan’ actor since his son, Aryan, recently came out on bail in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs bust case. While Aryan was nabbed by the Narcotics Crime Bureau in case, Shah Rukh had put the shooting of ‘Pathan’ on hold to focus completely on his son’s case.
