Finally this Kannada film beats Tollywood star movies in Karnataka

FollowMost expected movie of Challenging Star Darshan, Tarak is ahead of Kollywood and Tollywood movies in Karnataka. Except for Rajakumara, star movies released recently had failed to fare according to expectations. But popularity wise, it looks like Tarak has succeeded in spreading the magic.
According to statistics, Tarak has garnered 8.5 crore in the first week of its release. The movie was released in Karnataka theatres on September 29 and has been declared the most popular movie in the popular search site BookMyShow.
Tarak has been liked by 83 percent movie lovers, whereas Tollywood's Mahesh Babu starrer movie Spider has been liked by 69 percent people and Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa movie has got 76 percent likes.
Darshan took to Twitter to thank the people for making Tarak a success. "I am always grateful to your love and encouragement. This is Tarak Ram, people call me Tarak with love," he Tweeted.

The lead cast of the movie Shanvi Srivastava and Kuri Pratap also have thanked people for their love.
Unlike other movies of Darshan, Tarak is a family entertainment. Instead of being an action hero, Darshan is seen as a family man in the movie. Though the film has received mixed reviews, collection wise it has fared very well.
