Fidaa is a Telugu movie directed by Sekhar Kammula and this is Sai Pallavi's debut film in Tollywood. She entered the film industry in 2016 opposite Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan.
The teaser features the pretty Pallavi as the girl next door image that Varun Tej falls in love with instantly. The movie is all about love at first sight. Pallavi’s first dialogue in the video is ‘badmaash’, as she yells at a man from inside the train.
The project has been in the making for a long time and has been shot in Telangana. Director Kammula is known for films like Dollar Dreams, Godavari and Happy Days. He is a much acclaimed filmmaker and has won the National Award as well. In the film, Pallavi plays a girl from Nizambad, Telangana while Varun lives in the US. It has been shot largely in Bansuvada and later in the US. The theme of the film is love-hate-love.
Actor Harshvardhan Rane also plays an important role in the movie. We can see Varun remembering some pleasant times in typical filmi style. The scene where they hug in the mountains is outstanding and very romantic. The music is composed by Shanti Kanth.
