Watch: Fahadh Faasil's Malayalam soup song gone viral!

Mollywood actor Fahadh Faasil is on a mission to bring ‘theppu’ (ironing) into the mainstream. Recently, the actor and his team have posted a song on YouTube from the movie Role Models which features Namitha Pramod. 

A few days ago, the posters of the film which is directed by Rafi, was making rounds on social media, has already been creating curiosity among the audience. 

Coming back to the song, the uninitiated, ‘theppu’ in new-gen Malayalam lingo is a phenomenon in which a girl dumps her lover for the funniest and superficial reasons. And the girl who engages in ‘theppu’ is called ‘theppukari’ (ironing women).

Now, the slang terms (theppu) were made pretty popular by social media pages, and now, Fahadh has taken it upon himself to give it to the echelons of global fame.   

In a new video, we can see actors Vinay Forrt, Vinayakan and Sharafudheen, performing a soup song. Fahadh Faasil and his rock band seen dancing at a beach shack and annoying Namitha Pramod who was enjoying with her friends.

The lyrics are written by B. Harinarayanan and composed by Gopi Sunder, the song has crossed 4.4 lakh views on YouTube in just two days. Interestingly, Gopi and Harinarayanan super combo had invited a lot of trolls and comments for their songs in Sathya. 

Role Models also has Renji Panicker appear in supporting roles. The movie is expected to hit the screens around Eid.
