In a breakthrough in Sandalwood and high-profile drug parties case, Central Crime Branch Police managed to trace and arrest Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law and former minister Jeevaraj Alva's son Aditya who was hiding in Chennai.

Aditya Alva was hiding for the last four months after a chargesheet was filed against him at Cotton Pete Police Station.

Adithya Alva was said to be in touch with accused actress Ragini Dwivedi, Sanjjanaa Galrani and party organiser Viren Khanna and others in connection with the drug case.

The CCB Police has also issued notice to his sister Priyanka Alva who is married to Vivek Oberoi and questioned her brother. Later Vivek's house was raided by officers for evidence as there was information about the accused Aditya hiding in Mumbai.

The accused was finally arrested from a Chennai flat on Monday evening and was later brought to Bengaluru.

In September, the Bengaluru Police had sent shock waves to celebrities in connection with a drug case. As actress Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa did not cooperate they houses were raided and subsequently arrested.

Soon after this development, Alva became alert and went absconding.
