Bengaluru drug case: Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani gets bail
After three months of jail actress Sanjjanaa Galrani walks out of jail on bail. The actress was arrested in a drug case. After her bail plea was earlier rejected, the advocate again sought bail on health grounds.
FollowSouth Indian actress Sanjjanaa Galrani whose house was raided and arrested in connection with Bengaluru drug scandal was granted bail on Friday.
The actress’ house was first raided early morning on September 8 and was sent to remand home after her arrest on the same day.
In her bail plea, the advocate representing her has mentioned that the actress needs an immediate surgery failing which she would suffer hemorrhage.
Following this plea and the accused actress was subjected to medical tests and was granted bail accordingly.
The Central Crime Branch, Bengaluru has launched a war against drug menace in the State. Earlier this year as part of probe, the police arrested 7 out of 12 accused and apart from Galrani, Ragini Dwivedi is another actress who was also arrested in the same fashion by the CCB sleuths.
Ragini also has moved her bail plea in Supreme Court after High Court dismissed her application and has adjourned hearing on her application January next year.
Both the actresses were arrested for allegedly procuring and consuming drugs at parties. They have been charged under various sections in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.
