Rumours about the impending divorce of Amala Paul and her husband AL Vijay have been spreading like a wildfire over the past few days. According to news reports, the two will opt for a divorce with mutual consent.
The actress, who is usually active on social networking platforms, hasn't given any clarifications about the rumours yet. But talking to an entertainment website, husband Vijay said ''I don’t want to talk anything about it. I will abide by my parent's decision.''
Sources close to the couple have revealed that the central bone of contention was Amala continuing her film career and going on a signing spree after her marriage, despite the disapproval of Vijay’s parents. Reportedly, Vijay's family wanted her to concentrate on family life.
Amala and Vijay got together during the filming of Deiva Thirumagal. The couple dated for three years before marriage.
The actress was living in Chennai with Vijay and his family. She has recently shifted back to Kochi.
Amala will be next seen in Dhanush's Vada Chennai.
