Watch Prithvi Shaw take a stunner to dismiss Tim Paine in warm-up clash
India are taking on Australia in a three-day warm-up tie in Sydney, ahead of the four-Test series, starting December 17. India are the defending champions of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, having won it during their last visit, in 2018-19.
The Indians are coming up with a competitive performance Down Under, across formats. While they have already won the T20Is, after losing the ODIs, they would be looking to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as they are waring-up for the same in a heated fashion.
On the same note, India are playing a warm-up clash against Australia A at the Drummoyne Oval in Sydney, where they have come up with a decent performance so far. Furthermore, it was on Monday, when Prithvi Shaw took a stunning catch to get the internet talking.
Tim Paine was well-settled at the cease, as he was looking to play a big knock. However, he was up against pacer Umesh Yadav, who too was bowling great. As Umesh bowled a quick short ball, Paine went for the pull, only to be caught by Shaw in an acrobatic fashion at the backward square leg, as the wicketkeeper-batsman departed for 44.

"Another short one and that is taken. What a catch that is! Unbelievable grab at backward square leg. A fantastic leap from Prithvi Shaw. Umesh Yadav dug it in, it needed a spectacular grab and Prithvi Shaw supplied that", the commentator on-air was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.

Match summary: Winning the toss, Indian skipper Ajnkya Rahane elected to bat first. It was Cheteshwar Pujara (54) and Rahane (117), who played a sublime knock each to propel India to a decent total of 247/9, while pacer James Pattinson claimed 3/58. In reply, the Australians have done well, too. Currently, they are 86/8, following a brilliant innings of an unbeaten 114 from Cameron Green, while Umesh has been the star for Indian bowling, having claimed 3/44.
