Twitter erupts as the young Wridhhiman Saha jolted Delhi Capitals (DC) bowlers. In his second match this season, he played a magnificent knock of 87 runs. He, along with David Warner, contributed to a 107-run opening stand, as SRH posted a mammoth total of 219/2.
Just ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) clash in Dubai, SRH skipper David Warner announced the inclusion of Wriddhiman Saha in the playing XI. Saha, being the wicketkeeper-batsman, was roped in as a replacement to Jonny Bairstow.
Indeed, it was a blessing in disguise, as Saha, who opened the innings with David Warner, went on to make a 107-run partnership in just 9.4 overs, following which skipper Warner departed. Saha continued his batting and smashed 87 runs off only 45 balls.
In his terrific innings, that comprised of two sixes and 12 fours, he set SRH total soaring as high as 219/2 in 20 overs, an unlikely result in Dubai. As he wrapped the entire SRH innings, tweets showered in praising the young man.

Improvised his shots after picking the line and length of the ball. There was no slogging at all. Played a fantastic innings which I thoroughly enjoyed watching.#SRHvDC #IPL2020

When you are a NO.1 wk/batsman in one format for India, playing IPL since 2008, 122 game, avg around 25 and strike rate of 132 and yet find yourself out of playing XI often, this is how you express your frustration! #saha #SRHvDC What an innings @Wriddhipops .— R P Singh रुद्र प्रताप सिंह (@rpsingh) October 27, 2020
