Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta shares an emotional piece on her Twitter handle as her team failed to secure a berth in the playoffs. KXIP had quite a topsy turvy tournament this year and lost the playoffs chances completely as they lost against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by nine wickets.

The fact that KXIP have never won an IPL trophy and seeing their promising performance this year, it is disappointing not only for the owners, management but also fans who stood by them all throughout the tournament.

Truly, the team performed exceptionally well and the skipper KL Rahul performed well all throughout the tournament. He is still the leading run-scorer in the IPL, holds the Orange cap and has 670 runs under his credit this season.

The co-owner Preity Zinta was spotted in many league matches cheering for her team. In the tweet, she wrote, “ Time to say goodbye to #IPL & Dubai. Not the season we hoped for but we will come back bigger, better & stronger. So many thrills, heart attacks, highs, lows & memorable moments. It’s been a shorter run than what we hoped for”

She added a thread and thanked the fans as well. The tweet said “But I wanna thank all the fans of @lionsdenkxip for standing by us & supporting us through thick n thin Thank you for being so awesome. You guys are the wind beneath our wings  #Goodbye #Ipl2020 #Dream11IPL #Saddapunjab  #ting.”
