The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is in its second leg. Continuing on the fixtures set, Match 34 is scheduled between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Sharjah on Saturday.

DC look to eye a place in the playoffs, taking into account their current pace, while CSK are trying to come out of shackles of poor performance that have gripped the franchise this season.

Team composition
DC were fairly balanced till now and we will have to look at how the team makes replacements for the players, following Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant’s injury. CSK, on the other hand, have decided upon their players and are equally balanced.

Current Form
The young guns of DC were fiery in the season, while CSK’s experienced brigade did not take off well. DC have exactly double the points of CSK and are first on the table, whereas CSK sit at the sixth spot. In their previous clash of the season, DC had defeated CSK by 44 runs at the Dubai International Stadium.

Head-to-head
Of the 22 clashes that have happened, CSK have won 15, while DC have won just seven. CSK will try treading their dominating glory.

Weather and pitch report
Weather in Sharjah is likely to be around 36 degrees. As far as the pitch is concerned, it has slightly slowed down, taking into account the initial IPL matches, which saw 400-plus runs in 40 overs. However, the short boundaries still favour the batsman and a score around ,190 with a few economical spells, can bring the winning glory.
